In the south of Normandy, a few miles away from the Mont Saint-Michel,

imagine a beautiful botanical set, the park of an old castle, and discover at Saint Symphorien des Monts...
how the 18th century imagined parks around castles...
strange animals, rare European species and interesting breeds from around the world...
contemporary artists’ creations along the park’s promenade...

Closed since December 26, 1999, because of the storm that destroyed a large part of the west of France, the Parc de Saint Symphorien des Monts works hard to re-open its gates to the public.

After a year and a half of renovation, thanks to the volunteers’work, the park can start showing its beauties to the public. Of course, everything is not finished, but the achievements have reached a stage where a visit becomes a pleasure.

Two weekends of exceptional openning in 2012 have marked a first milestone in the achievement of the project. 2013 will see the Association speed up by opening the park one weekend per month, between May and September. You will soon find all the information on the Openning Page Ouvertures. You can help the Association in becoming subscriber or volunteer, or though a donation.

Three volunteer weekends will take place before the first 2013 opening to finalise the park as much as possible. If you want to give a hand, click on the Association Page.
