In the south of Normandy, a few miles away from the Mont Saint-Michel,imagine a beautiful botanical set, the park of an old castle, and discover at Saint Symphorien des Monts...how the 18th century imagined parks around castles... strange animals, rare European species and interesting breeds from around the world... contemporary artists’ creations along the park’s promenade... Closed since December 26, 1999, because of the storm that destroyed a large part of the west of France, the Parc de Saint Symphorien des Monts works hard to re-open its gates to the public. After a year and a half of renovation, thanks to the volunteers’work, the park can start showing its beauties to the public. Of course, everything is not finished, but the achievements have reached a stage where a visit becomes a pleasure. Two weekends of exceptional openning will allow you to discover the park: June 2&3 for the "Rendez-vous aux Jardins" and September 15&16 for "les Journées du Patrimoine".
